How StartupStead makes money

StartupStead is free to read. It is funded by affiliate commissions. When you follow some links to a product and then buy it, the company that makes it may pay us a fee. You pay the same price either way.

Which links earn a commission

Currently none. Every link on the site points directly to the product's own website.

Affiliate links are marked as sponsored in the page code, and any article that contains one says so at the top, before the first link.

What a commission never influences

• What we recommend. A product that pays nothing is recommended over one that pays well whenever it is the better choice for the reader.
• The numbers. Prices in comparisons and tools are the vendor's published list prices, with the date they were checked, whether or not we earn from the vendor.
• Which products appear. Comparisons include the products a founder would realistically consider, including ones with no affiliate program.
